Joan Snubbed by Oscar

Fans were enraged when the late Joan Rivers was not honored during the " In Memoriam" portion of the Oscars.
The tribute started with an intimate speech by Meryl Streep, and paid homage to icons including Robin Williams, Maya Angelou, and Gabriel Garcia Marquez.

There was more to Joan than pissing people off and making them cry. The late comedian started in over 20 films, including her award winning documentary, A Piece of Work.

The Academy told USA today that "Joan Rivers is among the many worthy artists and filmmakers we were unfortunately unable to feature in the Memoriam segment of this years 87th Oscars. She is, however, include in our Memoriam gallery on Oscar.com."
Although Joan was completely disregarded in the Memoriam her daughter , Melissa, made sure to give her mother a tribute. "It's hard to believe it was 20 years ago that my mother and I stood on this very red carpet for        the first time. My mom asked questions that nobody else dared to ask." Said Melissa Rivers in a video that aired    on the E network,

The Oscars have yet to defend there decision to disregard Joan Rivers from the "In Memoriam" segment. However, Twitter refuses to let them hear the end of it.
