Honoring Freestyle

The BET Honors aired for the first time sunday night, and it was filled with memorable moments. Kanye West was the man of the night as he accepted this year's Visionary Award. West gave an inspiring speech, but that was not the highlight of the evening. Host Wayne Brady wanted to pay homage to the art of freestyling and asked Kanye and Usher for some assistance. Brady looped a beatbox beat and vocal samples from Kanye and Usher. John W. Thompson then suggested that Brady rap about how working as a roofer is not a fun job.  -Jesse Lyles
