Kanye West’s Artistry Knows No Boundaries

Does anyone else remember when a certain rapper debut his Spring 2012 collection in Paris back in 2011?
Well he’s back and stronger. Rapper and up and coming designer, Kanye West, shows New York Fashion Week why he is amazing. Thursday, February 12, West debuted his Fall 2015 collection for Adidas called Yeezy Supply. The collection showcased the long anticipated, Yeezy Boosts, nude body stockings, muted-tones, camouflage jackets, and holey sweaters. The unique runway show was a star-studded affair. West’s fashion forward family was in attendance. His wife, Kim Kardashian, and daughter, North West, sat front and center at the show.  The verdict is still out on whether it was the clothes or restlessness that caused North to make a fuss at her father’s show. Reportedly, she was taken backstage for a little R&R.

Before the show began, Kanye West delivered an inspirational introduction urging people not to be afraid to be creative:

“There's a series of, you know, people who like writing negative comments. They want to joke around and say, Why is he still trying? You know, if I see something, if I see an opportunity I'm going to go for it. I'm here to crack the pavement and make new grounds, you know, sonically and society, culturally.

We're not always in the position that we want to be at. We're constantly wrong, we're constantly making mistakes, we're constantly trying to express ourselves and actualize our dreams. I want to create something better for you. We have been limited.

It's bigger than who I am. Even in my presence, living, it's about when I was on earth, what did I do to help? I want people to think more, I want people to feel like it's okay to create and follow what their dreams are and not feel boxed in, I want people to feel like awesome is possible! There's a lack of creativity in every field because people are afraid. As an artist and in this world we can do whatever we want.”

Ye’s friends, Jay-Z, Beyonce, Rihanna, Diddy, Cassie, Big Sean, A$AP Ferg, Pusha T, Justin Bieber, and Russell Simmons, definitely showed love at the show. Also of his friends in attendance were fashion royalty editor-in-chief of Vogue, Anna Wintour, and American designer, Alexander Wang.  Sister-in-law, Kylie Jenner, showed Kendall Jenner she was not the only sister that knows how.
