Pay the woMan
Winners have around 45-60 seconds to get up from their seats, make their way to the stage and thank their loved ones. In that time, stars can either bore us with the list of crew members or leave the audience with something a little more special. Patricia Arquette did just that as she accepted her award for ‘Best Supporting Actress.”
Her speech began like any other and ended with a powerful message as she ventured into wage and gender equality.
The camera panned to the audience as we see the well-respected women of Hollywood, like Meryl Street and Jennifer Lopez fist pump and applaud. For that, we applaud you Miss Patricia Arquette.
