Cinderella is in a Cinch
Lily James, star of the new live-action version of "Cinderella", has been making promotional rounds for the movie's release. James committed to the role by embodying the Disney princess, from the top of the tiara to the tip of her toe encased in the famous glass slipper. Of all the iconic costuming in this fairy-tale, the media is enchanted by the actress' small waist.
Rumors have circulated that the 25-year-old actress' small waist was digitally edited for the film. James attributes her hourglass shape to genetics and a good corset.
"I naturally have a really small waist," James explained to ET. "The skirt's big and the corset pulls me in, and that's the point. That's the shape (costumer designer) Sandy Powell created."
The actress admits to wearing a corset for every dress in the movie, and that she was especially cinched in the blue ballgown to create the iconic Cinderella silhouette. She also revealed that she was on a strict liquid diet during filming because it was difficult to eat while wearing the corset. Poor Cinderelly, at least she gets her prince.
