The Naked Truth Isn't Hard To Bare

Celebrity mom and booty hall of famer Jennifer “J-Lo” Lopez dropped a new music video for her single “Back it Up” featuring Prince Royce and Pitbull. No stranger to selling her sex appeal, J-Lo ensured that the video was loaded! The single, an ode to booty, features the 45-year-old J-Lo gyrating and her dancers twerking alongside her sexy Spanish lyrics. The video starts, with JLO donning a sexy floral bikini, sporting aviators and a big floppy hat.

J-Lo has been selling sex since her days as a “fly girl.” The star has made red carpet appearances in some of the most revealing gowns in Hollywood. Her infamous green Versace gown she wore to the Grammys turned heads 15 years ago. Although most of the world seems to be obsessed with booty, some people think that there should be a limit to how much celebrity moms bare.

One fashion designer, Carolina Herrera, is giving her take on the subject by slamming Kim Kardashian and Jennifer Lopez. For the 76-year-old designer, there is nothing “modern” about baring it all. Seeing J-Lo clad in a red Versace see through gown at this year’s Met Gala made the veteran designer sound off about her distaste for the revealing clothing. The designer said:

“They’re meant to be fashion icons but they’re not wearing anything.”

The catch to all of these “naked dresses” is that the women clad in them are mothers. Who could forget Beyonce’s Givenchy see-through gown at this year’s Met Gala? Critics slammed her for dressing so scandalously especially as the mom of 3-year-old Blue Ivy.

Kim Kardashian received similar criticism for her Met Gala feathered Roberto Cavalli gown. Although fans love to keep up with this Kardashian, some, like Herrera have shunned her for her poor mommyesque choices. Even social media chimed in sounding off calling her a bad mom for dressing so revealing.

Although these women are now seasoned vets in the Hollywood game as well as mothers, for some, it would be odd to see them represent anything other than sexy. While many critics believe their antics are too revealing to be mothers, these starlets haven’t missed a beat when it comes to show stopping in some of fashion’s hottest designers in some of fashion’s most revealing gowns. Perhaps the traditional "mom" jeans and driving a mini van kind of mother is passe' to this new generation, who stay in shape and work hard to get their post baby figures back. Regardless of the negative feedback, these progressive moms have no problem backing it up and baring it all.
