Charleston Shooting suspect appears before judge, charged with murder





Dylann Storm Roof was in court today to face the charges of shooting 9 victims at the Emanuel AME church in Charleston, South Carolina.

At the hearing, Roof was charged with 9 counts of murder and 1 count of possession of commission of a violent crime. Dylann Roof gave permission to conduct the hearing via video conferencing.

Roof first court appearance will be October 23 2015 2pm. He will then make a court appearance on February 2nd 2016 9am. Roof has the right to a preliminary hearing to establish and substantiate the states charges and to review evidence to establish probable cause.

Roof is unemployed and no bonds can be set as the judge had no authority to do so for the murders of the innocent 9 victims, But a bond is set at $1million for the possession of the commission of the violent crime.
