Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson rocks Box Office

As if there isn’t enough calamity in the world, the Earthquake disaster movie San Andreas, starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, really rocked the box office its opening weekend! As of the first of the month, the movie has brought in over $59 million worldwide. During its debut, the movie cashed out at $54 million domestically. The movie has been a cash crop, although it is not critically acclaimed.
In the film, San Francisco is hit by a massive Earthquake and it is up to a helicopter pilot (Dwayne Johnson) to conduct a search for his daughter. The film did great and is just another accolade for the 43- year- old veteran actor and wrestler. Along with his ventures, it is rumored that Johnson will star in a remake of the classic “Big Trouble in Little China.” The original, directed by John Carpenter, was a film about a truck driver in Chinatown battling forces of good and evil.
“The Rock” has come a long way from his pro-wrestling days. He has had several acting gigs, authored an autobiography and has had multiple television shows. Johnson is also featured in the HBO series “Ballers” that focuses on football players. Prior to living the fast life, he was a college football player at the University of Miami.
Aside from his box office hit, 2015 seems to be looking good (and we can all agree that he

looks good) for the actor. In May, he set a Guinness World Record for taking 105 selfies in

three minutes. The same month, Johnson also became an ordained minister and officiated

the wedding of a lifelong fan. It seems as if we are time traveling with the gentle giant!

Many people haven’t seen antics like this from the star since his WWE days. Whether he’s

getting his groove back or getting us ready for something big in the works, Dwayne “The

Rock” Johnson has had the best year ever!
