Horror Unfolds in Pretty Little Liars and The Real Housewives of NY

Things got crazy on TV Tuesday night. Whether you watched Pretty Little Liars at 8pm or Real Housewives of New York at 9pm (or both!) you were in for horror either way.

In Housewives, Dorinda brought the girls to the Berkshires estate to celebrate her 50th birthday. Of course, a Housewives birthday party is never complete without drama. It wasn't long before Kristen complained that Dorinda's boyfriend John is “too touchy-feely.” Dorinda wasn't having it and said that Kristen was up there shimmying with her boyfriend too. She claimed that the entire event embarrassed her and that Kristen should have known better because she is a wife and mother. She dismissed John's fault in the matter saying, “He sincerely loves me and I sincerely love him, and I'll defend him to the end.”

Later on, Ramona commented during her interview, “Kristen, you are absolutely dumb to tell Dorinda that John is too touchy! I thought you had a brain or two.” Well, at least Kristen had at least one brain and decided to save her comments until after the party.

Also featured in the episode was a surprise appearance from Bethenny, who has been known to be distant this whole season. This resulted in awkward interactions with Heather, who mothered her the whole time she was there. When Bethenny couldn't eat the fish on the menu, Heather butted in, much to Bethenny's frustration.

Things haven't always been so easy for Bethenny though. She had an abuse-filled past without a maternal presence in her life, and for that reason, fans speculate that Heather's unnecessary mothering rubs Bethenny the wrong way although they would ultimately like the two cast members to get along since they're so similar.

On another channel, Pretty Little Liars had it's season six premiere. The show, known for leaving audience members with more questions than answers, has vowed to change that this season since the network has dubbed it the #SummerofAnswers. However, after Tuesday's episode, we kind of doubt that fans will be figuring things out any time soon.

Some highlights from Tuesday night's show include new girl, Sarah Harvey, who apparently went missing at the same time Ali did. She too had been trapped by Charles (A) in the “dollhouse” where the girls are currently being held. The girls, still in their prom dresses from last season were locked outside indefinitely, and their comments about having to drink their own pee moved this fun, mystery show into the realm of horror. Once they were removed from outside, they were returned to their “dollhouse” rooms where they all screamed at what was hiding inside. Avoiding answers, the show immediately did a time skip to 3 weeks later leaving fans saying: Wait? What happened? I guess we'll find out later? Eventually, the girls caused a fire and escaped the “dollhouse” with background character Andrew Campbell becoming the main suspect in their disappearance.

If you like watching the Real Housewives on Bravo or Pretty Little Liars on ABC family, you'll also want to check out these shows which will be premiering soon:

New on Bravo will be Girfriends' Guide to Divorce. The show will star actors and actresses from House M.D., Criminal Minds, and 24. The show is based on a book series by Vicki Iovine and follows Abby (Lisa Edelstein), a 40-something self-help author who is separated from her husband, as she navigates life as a newly single woman in L.A.

New on ABC Family will be Shadowhunters. It's based on The Mortal Instruments book series by Cassandra Clare. The franchise is being given a second chance after the 2013 movie version failed to please at the box office. The cast of this supernatural show will include the Old Spice Guy, Isaiah Mustafa, and Harry Shum Jr. from Glee. The series will include vampires, werewolves, fairies, and of course, the part-angel humans, the Shadowhunters, who hunt and kill demons for a living.
