35 & counting—The Victims of Bill Cosby Come Forward for NY Mag

35 of the alleged 46 Bill Cosby victims came forward for one powerful New York Magazine cover. In the photo, an empty chair remains, symbolizing the victims who have yet to share their stories. Janice Dickinson and Beverly Johnson were amongst the 35 women who were interviewed.

The magazine stated that the women were all interviewed separately, but their stories are strikingly similar. Cosby, however has yet to be tried for any of the alleged assaults and rapes. He has both denied and attempted to avoid accusations in public appearances. In reference to the women, Cosby's attorney Monique Pressley said, there's no way to know to know “whether someone is lying or not.” She also claimed that, “the sheer volume or number of people who are saying a particular thing does not make it true.”

Other experts have also weighed in on the matter. Legal analyst Daniel Abrams told Whoopi Goberg on The View recently that due to the statute of limitations in many states, too much time has passed for Bill Cosby to be tried in court and that the alleged assaulter would have to be tried in the court of public opinion instead.

The powerful magazine cover is a huge next step in seeking justice for the victims.
