Scandal, Sex and Drugs: The Latest on America’s Favorite T.V. Dad
Beloved actor and
comedian, Bill Cosby, seems to be in some hot fudge pudding. This
week, court records were obtained that included an alleged confession
that the 78-year-old purchased drugs with the intent to use on women
he wanted to have sex with. The deposition was revealed in documents
from 2005.
More than 40
women have claimed to be sexually assaulted by Bill Cosby during the
1970s and 80s. Many of the stories have been told to media outlets
just within the last year. The fact that most of the women waited
nearly 30 years to tell what happened has left most of Cosby’s fans
skeptical.
Cosby’s
biggest supporters since the scandal have been his wife, Camille,
Phylicia Rashad, Raven Symone, Jill Scott and Whoopi Goldberg. While
Jill Scott was quick to jump ship from the bandwagon of Cosby
defenders stating that she “defended a man, but I was wrong.”
Others like Whoopi Goldberg are still staunch believers that Cosby
did nothing wrong. Goldberg took to her talk show, “The View,”
this week stating that Cosby is still “innocent until proven
guilty.” Cosby has yet to make a remark on the accusations. I spy a
scandal!
