All Hail to Queen Bey
Ring the alarm! Beyoncé has made history once again as the first African American to cover Vogue’s September Issue. In the article, Beyoncé is mentioned as “iconic and powerful.”
The photos were taken by photographer Mario Testino as the wet-haired Beyoncé’ (which is becoming her signature) dons a Marc Jacobs dress and coat. While Beyoncé looks stunning, writer Megan Garber for The Atlantic criticized Beyoncé for having “stringy” hair on the cover. The BeyHive stung back on the writer via twitter in defense of Her Majesty, the Queen Bey.
From gracing magazine covers, being nominated for the VMAs and setting off her Bey Good campaign full throttle, Beyoncé has had one momentous summer! The September Issue of Vogue hits newsstands on August 25.
