Madea back to Big Screen

LionsGate tried to Laugh To Keep From Crying when Tyler Perry's film ratings decreased drastically. Productions with Madea grossed $60 million while only $40 million without Madea. This $20 million gap caught the attention of LionsGate.
I Can Do Bad All By Myself must have been the thought of LionsGate when the contract between themselves and Perry was not renewed.

Much for his benefit, Perry announced he would be taking a break from movies to focus on his tv series. Picked up by OWN Network, Perry is enjoying much success in TV land. His most popular "Love Thy Neighbor" and "The Have and Have Nots", airing on Tuesdays, are the key factors in OWN's recent ratings.

Tuesday nights bring in an average of 2.567 million viewers, 5% more than Oprah's own "Oprah's Next Chapter".

In October of 2016 Tyler Perry will be back on the big screen as Madea in "Boo! A Madea Halloween". The only thing left to know now is who will take on this project? LionsGate or Madea's Big Happy Family!
