Can You Stop Mistaking The Two

It's no surprise that Hidden Figures and Fences have been nominated for Best Picture for the 2017 Academy Awards! However, it is a surprise that these two films have been mistaken for one another, one too many times!

People Editor-in-Chief, Jess Cagle made it clear that the fences were hidden and not the figures, mashing Hidden Figures and Fences together, while in  the Pre-Ceremony Red Carpet show. Though he said these movies were extraordinary, many people were offended, seeing that this isn't the first time this has happened. 

Jenna Bush Hager, the daughter of former President George W. Bush, landed a gig as one of the hosts for the red carpet this year. She interviewed Pharrell Williams, who produced the Hidden Figures album. During this interview, she acknowledged his nomination for the movie Hidden Fences, leaving the creative genius with a blank facial expression! 

Though apologies have been sent and corrections have been made, people are in awe of how hard these actors and actresses have worked to only be confused and mistaken as something they're not. Two amazing films, many great actors, 1 winner. Let's just hope they pronounce the name right on stage!
