Celebs respond to sexist airline dress code
This past Sunday, a United
Airlines gate agent prevented two girls from boarding a flight for wearing
leggings. United said this was a part of the dress code policy for relatives
and friends of employees who travel for free. After social media got a hold of the news, many
people including celebrities reacted to the incident. Seth Rogen quoted a tweet
by United Airlines and tweeted “We
here at @united are just trying to police the attire of the daughters
of our employees! That's all! Cool, right?” Chrissy Teigen also chimed in and
tweeted “I have flown united before with literally no pants on. Just a top as a
dress. Next time I will wear only jeans and a scarf.” Comedian Sarah Silverman tweeted
“I understand. I suggest u consider updating ur rules 4 friends & fam as
they seem to apply mostly 2 females & are outdated.” United Airlines is
standing by their offensive decision. Will you continue to fly with United Airlines after
this?
