Venus Williams To Blame For Fatal Crash

Earlier this month, Venus Williams was involved in a car crash that left a 78-year-old man with injuries; the man has now passed away. According to the police report released on Thursday, the collision occurred on June 9, in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The victim, Jerome Barson, was in the passenger seat of his car, while his wife Linda Badson was driving.
The police report indicated that Linda was driving in the right lane traveling west, approaching an intersection. It was then, that she approached a traffic light, it changed to green, she drove through it, and then Venus Williams cut across in front of her vehicle. Venus Williams was not driving her vehicle when the crash occurred.
Unfortunately when Venus' driver cut across the vehicle, the strike was so grave that Jerome Barson had to be hospitalized. He was in the hospital for fourteen days after the collision, and underwent a myriad of surgeries that resulted in his untimely death. His wife Linda suffered some moderate injuries.  As for Venus Williams, she did not sustain any injuries.
Witnesses told police that Venus's driver was at fault, because they ran a red light. The investigating officer also let it be known that the driver violated the right of way. The collision remains under investigation, neither driver was under the influence of any substances, and Williams has not been cited or charged at this time. Venus expressed her deepest condolences to the family for the loss of a loved one.
