Gabrielle Reveals Why She Hasn't Had Children Yet

Movie and Television star, Gabrielle Union, most recently known for her work on Being Mary Jane, has revealed that she’s had almost 10 miscarriages in the attempt to conceive!

Union wrote that she had initially never wanted kids, but during her experience in helping to raise her husband’s children, made her realize that motherhood was for her. Her husband, Dwayne Wade, has always been at her side, as she began in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatments. Unfortunately, those treatments ended up failing multiple times. As she detailed in her book, We’re Going to Need More Wine, she mentioned how emotionally taxing the ordeal was.

Specifically, she talks about not being able to admit to friends and family what was going on. Gabrielle Union said, “A lot of people, especially people that have fertility issues, just say ‘no’ because that’s a lot easier than being honest about whatever is actually going on. People mean so well, but they have no idea the harm or frustration it can cause”.
