Queen of the Jungle
Beyoncé will star as lioness Nala, in the live-action Lion King, announced by Walt Disney Studios on Tuesday.
‘Queen Bey’ also announced her role on her Facebook page by using the hashtag #TheLionKing 2019 and her Beyhive took it from there.
Beyoncé's character, Nala, is the love-interest to lion Simba who is being played by actor Donald Glover, in this predominantly African-American, star-studded, absolutely iconic version of the film. The adaptation is set to be released by July 19, 2019.
The cast includes talents like James Earl Jones who has been announced as Mufasa, the character he also played in the 1994 original version. Alfre Woodard will play Simba’s mother, Sarabi.
One thing we do know is that you will be seeing the MediaBrew family in attendance for this greatness that is approaching.
