2018 Golden Globes Snubs

The nominations for the 2018 Golden Globes are out and the snubs keep rolling in.

'Get Out,' a socially conscious movie about systematic oppression, is nominated for 'Best Musical or Comedy Motion Picture' which sent fans in a scurry given that it was not intended to be a comedy but a horror. Director Jordan Peele said "Call it a horror, comedy, drama, action, or documentary, I don't care. Whatever you call it, just know it's the truth." Not to mention Peele didn't receive nomination for best director although the film was a record breaker throughout the year.

Other snubs included 'Mudbound,' which did not receive nomination for best dramatic feature although it was Sundance hit, and 'Wonder Woman' which was a box office hit and was left empty handed.

Although there were many snubs in the nominations of the 2018 Golden Globes, fans have taken to social media to express their feelings and the talents of these hits and these key players in the film industry should not be discouraged. Their talents are appreciated by the ones who they made their work for, the fans.
