Mike Fisher Comes Out of Retirement To Settle Unfinished Business

Maybe retirement isn’t that great after all.

Before he could even reach six months, Nashville Predators veteran, center, Mike Fisher, announced
that he’ll be returning to the rink for his 18th NHL season in hopes to win the Stanley Cup.

The 37-year-old who is also husband to country star Carrie Underwood announced his retirement
Aug. 3, 2017 after 17 seasons and shortly after the Predators fell short to the Pittsburgh Penguins in
the Stanley Cup.

Fisher has not signed a contract yet; however, General Manager, David Poile, said they will officially
sign Fisher before the February 26th trade deadline. Although Poile and the Predators were not thrilled
when Fisher announced his big decision, they said the locker room doors would always remain open to
Fisher.

Fisher isn’t finished yet. He plans to return to action, and accomplish his lifelong dream.
