Janet Jackson Won't Perform At 2018 Super Bowl

Janet Jackson fans are crushed after officially catching wind that Janet and Justin Timberlake wouldn’t be “together again” performing for the halftime show at Super Bowl LII. After the announcement was made that JT would be the halftime performer, speculations spread across the internet that Janet would once again be alongside him, just a little less “nasty,” and with more “control.” The two performed together at Super Bowl XXXVIII 14 years ago when Timberlake ripped a part of Janet’s top, causing a ‘wardrobe malfunction’ and a portion of Jackson’s bosom to be exposed.

Hoping Jackson and Timberlake would “take back the night” for this year’s halftime show, Jackson dispelled the rumors Saturday night on her instagram, saying, “To put to rest any speculation or rumors as to whether I will be performing at the Super Bowl tomorrow: I will not. Thank you for your support and I do look forward to seeing you all very soon.” - Janet. Maybe Janet still wants to “wait awhile” before stepping back on the Super Bowl stage. Respecting her decision, fans have turned Super Bowl Sunday into #JanetJacksonAppreciationDay, using the hashtag on Twitter, making it a trending topic.
