Big Blue is Back Again!

The Big Blue Wildcats have done it again and no we’re not talking about Kentucky. We’re talking about the VIllanova Wildcats. Villanova (Nova) has captured their second title last night in the last 3 years. The small school located in Radnor, Pennsylvania is a small suburb of Philadelphia. Within that school lies a basketball program that has evolved into a powerhouse in the last few years. Coached by 17 year veteran, Jay Wright, this year’s team boasted alot of local talent such as Colin Gillespie (Warminster, PA) and Mikal Bridges (Malvern, PA) but, another local player stole the show. Donte DiVincenzo is from the neighboring city Wilmington, DE which.
DiVincenzo was known as the “Michael Jordan of Delaware” for his scoring ability and athleticism and believes that he would be the man on any other team in the nation. The 6-4 Villanova wing torched Michigan with 31 points on 10 of 15 shooting, 5 for 7 from three, and five rebounds. Now, it doesn't take a basketball genius to tell that this guy totally went berserk in the game. Michigan had no response for him at all. DiVincenzo, who was also the Big East 6th man of the year, played 37 minutes, 12 more than he usually averages. Despite this draft stock boost of a performance, DiVincenzo will be back next year, as he will try to pioneer Nova to another title. The city of Philadelphia will definitely be greasy Wednesday as they will be able to slide another trophy into the trophy case. Being only two months removed from a superbowl, the city will celebrate a college national championship tonight. It's been a beautiful year for Nova and Philadelphia. All the fans could hope for now is that their favorite college hoopsters come back and win the city another one.
