Rihanna the First Black Woman to be on Vogue’s British September Issue

Singer and beauty icon Rihanna has made history by becoming the first Black Woman to cover British Vogue September issue. Rihanna is shown on the cover wearing a very flattering floral headdress, pink tulle Prada dress, and neon-orange gloves from her very own Savage x Fenty collection.

As many fans are excited for the singer, many people don’t want the slim eyebrows that were featured on Rihanna, to make a comeback. According to “The Independent”, Lisa Potter-Dixon said, “It’s by no means a sign that we all need to shave our brows off and pencil them in,” when speaking about the cover.

By choosing the Superstar and multi-talented artist for the cover of the magazine, British Vogue will have their first Black female since the 102 years of being created.

Editor and chief, Enninful spoke upon how he felt about the first Black woman on the cover, “I always knew it had to be Rihanna.
I always knew it had to be Rihanna. No matter how haute the styling goes, or experimental the mood, you never lose her in the imagery. She is always Rihanna.”

This news comes just a few days after the release that Beyoncé will be in complete and total control of the American Vogue September Issue.
