Jussie Smollett Turns Himself In After Allegedly Lying To Cops About His Alleged Attack

Actor and musician, Jussie Smollett, has reportedly been arrested for staging his ‘homophobic and racist attack’ in late January. It is said that this ‘Empire’ star allegedly didn’t feel that his work and craft on the show was getting the compensation that it deserved. Reportedly dissatisfied with his $20,000 salary per episode, Smollett allegedly mailed himself a threatening letter which included a MAGA reference and homophobic and racist slurs. When that didn’t give him the pay raise he wanted he allegedly hired the Nigerian brothers, Ola and Abel, to stage his attack in the Chicago alley.

Reportedly Smollett is currently in custody awaiting his first court appearance on felony charges for filing a false police report and disorderly conduct. In light of his arrest 20th Century Fox is reportedly considering suspending him from the show.

Many are feeling betrayed by Smollett who was once using his platform to bring light to the issues in the black and LGBTQ community. However, now we just see another greedy celebrity allegedly taking advantage of the pain and anger of racism and homophobic issues to further his own career. Cmon Jussie you’re a little too old for these games, next time you might just wanna use your words.
