Terrence Howard Defends his 'Son'
'Empire' star Terrence Howard finally breaks his silence about recent events surrounding his castmate Jussie Smollett. Howard shared a video to Instagram that shows Jussie playing with a baby on Saturday, the caption read "All your lil homies got you…we love the hell outta you." Many comments under the video criticize Howard's support of Smollett given the situation. To those fans that found an issue in his post, he replied saying, "The Jussie I know could never even conceive something so unconscious and ugly. His innocence and judgment are not for any of us to decide. Stay in your lane and my lane in empathy and love and compassion for someone I've called my son for five years."
Smollett has maintained his position as innocent in this situation and claims to have had nothing to do with the alleged staging of the attack. With his next appearance in court is set for March 14, 2019 'Empire' production has opted to remove his character from the season's final episodes to allow the legal process to play out. Only one other cast member (Gabourey Sidibe) has spoken out in support of Smollett in a post that has since been deleted. As this story continues to unfold many are unsure what the future holds for the 'Empire' star.
