Black Women Win The Crown

This year has been proven to be a year of black excellence making people think, what can't black people do? Black women now hold crowns in five major beauty pageants including, Miss World, Miss Teen USA, Miss America, Miss USA and Miss Universe. This has been a major game changer considering that most of these pageant's previous winners have not been so diverse and the fact that black women have not only won one title, but won five! We stan a black woman in a crown! These wins are not only wins for the beautiful women that now hold these titles, but also a win for millions of other young black girls out there and a win for the black community as a whole.

Don't get it twisted, these women did not bring just their looks to the stage. Their impressive backgrounds and ambitious goals won over the hearts of judges and fans all over the world that will help add some extra shine to the crowns that they now wear. The ladies made sure to show that they were not going to dim down their culture to be accepted by these pageants. Many of them wore their natural hair during their performances and outfits that complimented their curves. Shoutout to Toni-Ann Singh,  Miss World 2019 ,  Kaliegh Garris, Miss Teen USA 2019, Nia Franklin, Miss America 2019, Chelsie Kryst, Miss USA 2019, and Zozibini Tunzi, Miss Universe 2019, for bringing a new standard of beauty to these platforms.
