Chaka Khan Roasted for NBA All-Star 2020 Performance

The 2020 NBA All-Star game was played at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois, home of the Chicago Bulls. Candian musician Tenille Arts performed tremendously in her rendition of “O Canada.” Unfortunately, the performance from Chicago native Chaka Khan singing the American National Anthem was among the most disastrous ever according to the world. 

To pull off the National Anthem, “The Star-Spangled Banner,” you have to have your own charisma and put a twist to it. Many have tried, and many have failed. Unfortunately, our every woman, Chaka Khan, was one of them. Her pre-performance of the National Anthem trended higher than the game itself, but not for a good reason.

Social media took their reactions as soon as the performance aired, addressing the soul icon’s rendition of The Star-Spangled Banner. Many claimed that she failed to hit the right notes, leaving Twitter flooded with memes expressing their reactions to her performance. One user wrote: “More like Chaka Khan’t.”
