Early Wednesday, 20-year-old rapper Pop Smoke was murdered in his Hollywood Hills residence, law enforcement confirmed. A press conference was held by the Hollywood Hills law enforcement where they explained the situation.
The police received a call around 5 A.M. from a neighbor of Mr. Bashar Jackson professionally known as Pop Smoke, stating that he heard a break-in in progress and that the suspects were armed with handguns. Roughly 6 men entered the home, one wearing a mask.

Many people were detained, however, there were no arrests made. The family of the rapper has not released any official statement.

The young rapper recently became a mainstream rap icon with the release of his album “Meet The Woo” with the song “Welcome to The Party” receiving more than 20 Million views on YouTube. The artist has collaborated with other major rappers such as Meek Mill, Gunna, and Travis Scott to list a few.

The rapper's second mixtape “Meet The Woo 2” came out just last week, reaching the top 10 in the Billboard Top 200 Charts.

We’re praying for his family and loved ones as they grieve during this time.
