Billie Eilish Strips Down at Concert Making a Statement Against Body Shaming
Tyler Snipes
Unlike most of the generation today, Pop singer Billie Eilish, is known for cloaking her body in oversized T-shirts and baggy pantsuits.
On Monday night at her concert in Miami American Airlines Arena, fans were stunned to see the modest 18-year-old singer give in to the trend.
The Bad Guy singer who has previously admitted she wears baggy clothes to keep the attention away from her figure, made sure all the attention was on her while she slowly peeled off her clothes and mused about how: 'If what I wear is comfortable, I am not a woman. If I shed the layers, I am a slut.'
During the presentation itself, Eilish dressed her customarily loose garments, with a baggy green shirt that coordinated her shorts (and her hair) with dark Nike high-top tennis shoes.
She communicated a big-screen video where she exposed her bra, evidently offering a strong expression about the weights young ladies face in the music business — and the online body disgracing that accompanies it.
“Some people hate what I wear, some people praise it. Some people use it to shame others, some people use it to shame me.” Eilish stated. “While I feel your stares, your disapproval or your sighs of relief, if I lived by them, I’d never be able to move.”
'The body I was born with, is it not what you wanted?' 'If what I wear is comfortable, I am not a woman. If I shed the layers, I am a slut. Though you’ve never seen my body, you still judge it and judge me for it. Why?'
