Jenner Clan Taken Down by the Notorious B.I.G?

Kendall, 21, and Kylie Jenner, 19,  have been in the limelight for quite some time now, and have been faced with scandals, rumors, and constantly infuriating many people on the social media platform. But what happens when they infuriate the estate and family of our beloved and deceased Big Poppa? The Jenner Clan has recently  received much backlash for releasing a clothing line that is covered in shots of the Notorious B.I.G, as well as a few pictures of the late artist Tupac. The two reality show divas recently started up their clothing line known as Kendall+Kylie, which includes various clothing styles from shirts, to dresses, as well as accessories. However, over the course of this start-up line, the clan has found a way to rip off a lot of other styles from smaller lines and fashion entrepreneurs.

The two youngest of the Kardashian/Jenner siblings decided that in order to market their merchandise to a wider-range of audiences, they would use Biggie's face to do so; exploiting him and his estate in the process. Not only was this a complete profiteering of the cherished Brooklyn rapper, but the sisters received no permission from the rapper's estate and are currently being threatened by the estate with legal action. A more important party of this debacle had much to say about the misdeed: Biggie Small's mother, Voletta Wallace, took to Instagram to comment on the "disgusting" case.

She wrote, "I am not sure who told @kyliejenner and @kendalljenner that they had the right to do this. The disrespect of these girls to not even reach out to me or anyone connected to the estate baffles me. I have no idea why they feel they can exploit deaths of 2pac and my son Christopher to sell a t-shirt. This is disrespectful, disgusting, and exploitation at it's worst!!!"
This was, coincidentally, not the first time one of the Jenner sisters faced some form of backlash due to a controversial situation they found themselves in. Pepsi released an advertisement with Kendall Jenner back in April of this year in which was a trivial depiction of the recent protests and peaceful riots against law enforcement within the past years. As a means of solving the issue, Jenner is seen giving a Pepsi away to one of the police officers, which was meant to symbolize a solution to calming the officers and protests down. Many folks took to the social media platform to comment on how degrading and minimal the advertisement was, and how it showed no depiction of what was actually occurring during these times.

It seems as the clan gets older, more controversy and trouble follows. It is one thing to start a clothing line without the permission from the face that is on the merchandise, but it's another thing to do so to a legend who has been gone for sometime, and can't defend himself. Wallace's response to the ordeal was quite reasonable and impactful. Let's just hope the Jenner sisters have enough sense to back down from the Big Poppa-name-calling-lover and his supportive estate.
